Paul Elliman Arrives

For our design of a poster for Paul Elliman's visit, with no particular events scheduled, we decided to make the event be the actual purpose of his visit: to meet with him. We borrowed the language used on the school's calendar Arrives, Sign-Ups, Departs to make a poster comprised of perforated sign-up sheets for each day of his visit.

Our goal was to make an interactive poster whose final form was unknown; we did not know how the schedule would change in response last minute changes or whether Paul would actually tear off a schedule each day. In the end, Paul did not tear off the sign-up sheets and the poster was transformed into a message board as well as a documentation of his visit.
